Ballet Concerto - Summer Dance Workshop

Special Guest Master Teacher Bruce Marks Returns To Teach This June Welcome to Ballet Concerto's 26th annual Summer Dance Workshop. The program is designed to meet the needs of aspiring serious students from intermediate to advanced levels. It also offers young students the opportunity to enjoy ballet without the pressure of performing. In addition to daily technique; classes for pointe, jazz dance, hip hop and Spanish dance will be offered. This year we will have several guest master teachers, most notably former Artistic Director of Ballet West and Boston Ballet and currently Artistic Director for Orlando Ballet, Bruce Marks. Also teaching will be Liuba Paterson, trained at the Vagonova School in St. Petersburg, Russia, now company teacher for Nevada Dance Theater, and noted teacher from Steps in New York City, Kim Abel. Margarita Bruce, exponant of Spanish Dance, will teach classes in Flamenco.

College Credit will be available through Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, ILL. and through Mercyhurst College in Erie, PA. The Summer Dance Workshop offers possible performance opportunities with Ballet Concerto for selected advanced students in Ballet Concerto's annual SUMMER DANCE CONCERT presented on an outdoor stage in the Fort Worth Cultural District. Participation is by invitation only.

Classes Subject to Change
New Schedule for Ballet Classes in July

Registration: Class size is limited to maintain quality instruction.
Registration must be received by May 17 and accompanied by a non-refundable deposit of $50, applicable to the tuition. Balance of tuition is due by May 30.

Girls and Ladies: Solid color leotards, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes. Long hair should be neatly pulled back in a bun; shorter hair may be secured with a headband. No rubber pants or T-shirts are allowed in class.

Boys and Men: White T-shirt, black tights, white shoes with white socks.

Spanish Dance: Shoes with heel; Girls wear skirt and leotard: Boys wear shirt and pants.

SCHOOL POLICIES
Dress Code: Dance clothes must be covered by a skirt, shorts or pants when entering or leaving the studio. No jewelry other than ear studs should be worn. Attendance: All students are expected to attend all classes in which they are enrolled. Students may not enter a class late or leave class without permission.
